The perfect barn…
Well, after months and months of searching, I have found the perfect barn for Arizen and I. The only problem is that its about an hour away, and I don’t know how much it is to board there… but I’m sure it’s expensive. Here it is:
I emailed them to see how much board is, and if it is under $400 a month I would pay it even if it is far away. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is over $600, though. 
Barn searching is impossible.

OH lord almighty girl, if that is less than $400 I’ll dance naked in the street. Barn searching IS impossible. Even though I love the facility we’re boarded at, the “trainer” there is batshit crazy and communication with management can be…difficult. I am as yet unwilling to give up our barn friends and trails though, sigh.
I pay $445/month, and no XC course or anything (although that does include an hour worth of lessons a month). So if that’s less that $400, I’d consider it, and I love where Lily is! Did you see on their site there was a JIm Wofford clinic? Would have loved to go to that. That’s the perk of big barns. We have a few clinicians come out, but mostly in the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy field.

Yeah… honestly, I’d consider it if it were anything less than $600 with all those amenities. It is still about 50 minutes from where I live though. Yeah, I saw about the Jim Wofford clinic. And the trainer is a well-respected eventer, too. It would be the perfect place to get mine and Rizzie’s eventing career started. But I just don’t know if it’s worth the drive…
Word from experience. You will appreciate proximity more than fancy amenities. Trust me.
